A free dating portal is hard to find these days. Almost every matchmaking site charges a sign-up fee. If sign-up is free, you have to pay later just to see a profile. All the good women cost money, only the rejects are free. Everything has its price, and these days only the expensive stuff has any value. But does love really have to cost something? Is it so wrong that I want to use a free dating portal?

Free dating portal - the matchmaking scene in real life

Until now I never used a dating portal. I made use of the real-life dating market. Gym, bars, events. Using a free dating portal is almost impossible, but real life offers plenty of free opportunities. A week ago I went to a concert. I met more than one woman, bought them drinks, laughed with them, chatted with them. The "right" one wasn't among them, or, to put it more accurately, I probably wasn't the "right" one. I was happy about the new acquaintances, but on the long drive home I thought about how much money I had spent to talk to a woman who then didn't want me after all. And not just once, but five times. Maybe I'm just not suited to the real-life dating market. Maybe wanting to use a free dating portal is wrong after all?

Free dating portal - what should love cost?

I used to google "free dating portal", but today I just pick a dating portal. I pick the most expensive one and look in horror at the price. It doesn't even come close to what I spent just a week ago to meet women. For a single conversation with one woman I spent three times as much. I'm more than shocked. When did love get a price tag stuck on it? Are there even any women out there who show honest interest in a guy and aren't just out to score free drinks? Is this small price glowing on the screen in front of me really the only thing I have to pay to find true love?

Finding a partner is allowed to cost something I transferred the money that same day and signed up. If I spend many times this amount on drinks, the search for love should be worth it to me too. I'm curious about the result. If no woman gets in touch, there's nothing to be done, that's life. But if one does, at least she's serious and isn't just looking for a free drink.
